Which HSK level a scholarship asks for

This is where China's two main scholarships set the bar. We prepare you for the level you need before the deadline.

HSK 3
A semester or a year of Chinese on the Chinese-language scholarship
180 points for a semester, 210 for a year
HSK 4
A bachelor's taught in Chinese on the Chinese-language scholarship
210 points and the intermediate HSKK
HSK 5
A master's or PhD taught in Chinese on the CSC, and a master's on the Chinese-language scholarship
CSC: 180 points. Chinese-language scholarship: 210 and the intermediate HSKK
HSK 6
A PhD on the Chinese-language scholarship
200 points and the advanced HSKK

About the course

How the lessons work

One-to-one

Your pace and schedule, targeted work on your gaps — the fastest route to an exam with a fixed date.

Mini-group of up to five

Speaking practice with other learners and a lower price per lesson, with the same attention from the teacher.

Native or Russian-speaking

At the start a Russian-speaking teacher explains grammar and logic faster; at intermediate level a native speaker gives living pronunciation and practice. Many learners combine both.

From your request to the first lesson in four steps

Request and introduction
We talk about your goal (an exam, admission, work or a move) and a schedule that suits you.

Level test and choosing a tutor
We find your starting level (or zero) and match a tutor — a native speaker or a Russian-speaking teacher — to your goal and pace.
03
First lesson
You meet your tutor and try the format; we adjust the plan if needed.

Regular lessons and progress
After each block there's a test and a review of your mistakes, so you can see your progress in the results.

Not only the language: the CSCA exam

From the 2026/2027 intake, bachelor's applicants to 306 designated universities in China must take the CSCA exam. Master's and PhD applicants don't. We check each university against the list. Many scholarships also expect HSK 4 when you apply, so it's best to prepare for the language and the CSCA at the same time.
