Italian online for university in Italy
Italian is the normal language of instruction at Italian universities, and students from outside the EU must prove it — usually at B2. We prepare you for the certificates universities accept and match you with a teacher.
Tell us the language, your level and your goal — we will match a tutor and a format and give you the price.
Language requirements for admission
Each university and programme sets its own requirements. We check them against your list before preparation starts.
Italian is normally the language of instruction; international programmes are taught in English. Universities check the Italian of non-EU students resident abroad.
SourceAn example for 2026/27: the University of Pisa requires at least B2 for Italian-taught programmes. CLIQ certificates at B2 exempt you from its test; certificates from the Italian Cultural Institutes are not accepted there.
SourceWithout a certificate, Pisa runs a two-stage test: the remote TEST ITA L2 (at least 55 out of 72) and an online interview.

Frequently asked questions
What level of Italian do I need for admission?
For Italian-taught programmes, usually B2 — the University of Pisa asks for at least B2 for 2026/27. Each university publishes its own requirement; we check it against your list.
Does a certificate exempt me from the university's test?
At Pisa, yes, if it is a CLIQ certificate at B2 or above: CELI, CILS, PLIDA or Cert.it. Certificates from the Italian Cultural Institutes are not accepted there.
How do the lessons work?
Online, one-to-one or in a mini-group. In the first lesson the teacher assesses your level and plans the route to the exam you need. We match you with a native or Russian-speaking teacher to suit your goal and timeline.
