Language requirements for admission

Each university and programme sets its own requirements. We check them against your list before preparation starts.

For German-taught programmes, universities usually accept DSH-2, TestDaF with TDN 4 in all four sections, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 or the DSD II.

According to TestDaF itself, TDN 4 in all four sections gets you into a degree programme, provided the university accepts the rest of your application.

Source

Each programme sets its own list and threshold: Applied Chemistry at Merseburg, for example, also accepts TDN 4 in one section and TDN 3 in the rest, with an additional language course.

How we match a tutor

From your request to the first lesson in four steps

01

Request and introduction

We talk through your goal — an exam, admission, work or a move — and a schedule that suits you.

02

Level test and choosing a tutor

We find your starting level (or zero) and match a tutor — a native speaker or a Russian-speaking teacher — to your goal and pace.

03

First lesson

You meet your tutor and try the format; we adjust the plan if needed.

04

Regular lessons and progress

Check-ins and feedback after every block — you see real progress, not a feeling.

IVQuestions

Frequently asked questions

What level of German do I need for admission?

Usually C1: DSH-2, TestDaF with TDN 4 in every section, or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. Each programme publishes its own list of certificates — we check it against your universities.

Can I apply without a certificate?

Not to a German-taught programme. If your level is not there yet, start with a language or preparatory year — in Germany, a Studienkolleg or a university language course.

How do the lessons work?

Online, one-to-one or in a mini-group. In the first lesson the teacher assesses your level and plans the route to the exam you need. We match you with a native or Russian-speaking teacher to suit your goal and timeline.
