Ignatianum University in Cracow is a Catholic institution run by the Society of Jesus and officially recognised by the Polish state. It traces its roots to 1867, when a Jesuit seminary was set up in Kraków. In October 2023 it was promoted to university and took its current name. It has 3,730 students and 244 teachers and research scholars.

BA, MA and PhD studies cover 14 academic disciplines. Its strength lies in the humanities: philosophy, psychology, pedagogy and cultural studies. You can also study journalism and public communication, political studies, social work, administration and public policy, and English philology. The university has its own press and 8 academic journals, and the Jesuit library on site holds over 400,000 volumes.

This is a small humanities university, so it suits students who care about philosophy, education or psychology and want a quiet academic setting. It is a Catholic institution, which is worth keeping in mind when you choose. Some full-time studies can be followed online. Requirements depend on the programme and the intake year.

Need the language to apply?

Almost everywhere the language is checked before admission, not after. We prepare for the exams admissions offices actually ask for.

Common questions about admission

Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?

UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.

Do you guarantee admission?

We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you complete the whole process under your plan and are not admitted to any of the universities we applied to, the service agreement lets you choose: a refund minus costs already incurred (university fees, translations, courier) or a free re-application for the next intake.

What are my actual chances of getting in?

We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.

Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?

You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
