Khalifa University is the flagship research institution of the United Arab Emirates and the first university in the country to enter the QS top 150 (147th, 2027). It has held the top position in national rankings for nine consecutive years and demonstrates sustained growth in global standing. International students are admitted through competitive selection based on academic merit. Intake occurs throughout the academic year, with the main admission cycle in August 2026 (Fall 2026 semester). Applicants must provide a secondary school certificate, proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79 for undergraduate; IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 91 for postgraduate), and examination scores in mathematics and science for STEM programs. The university sponsors student visas and provides on-campus housing. Merit-based scholarships—including full tuition waivers for high-achieving students—are awarded annually.
