The University of the Arts in Poznań is named after Magdalena Abakanowicz, one of Poland's best-known sculptors. She taught here herself and led the textile art studio until 1991. Her former assistant, Professor Anna Goebel, runs that studio today. The main building sits in central Poznań, on Marcinkowskiego Avenue.
The university teaches fine art and design, including graphic arts, sculpture, textiles and set design. It hosts the International Poznań Graphic Arts Biennale, with the 15th edition planned for 2027. It has recently launched a pre-doctoral programme in art and design for students preparing for doctoral study. Set design graduates have won nationwide scenography competitions.
International students can apply to the Study in English programme, which currently offers four first- and second-cycle degrees taught in English. The university has nearly 70 Erasmus+ partner schools across Europe and takes in about 30 exchange students each semester. Creative programmes usually ask for a portfolio, but the exact requirements depend on the programme and the intake year. We check them against your chosen field.

Common questions about admission
Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?
UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.
Do you guarantee admission?
We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you are not admitted or your visa is refused, a refund applies on the terms of the contract.
What are my actual chances of getting in?
We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.
Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?
You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
