The University of the National Education Commission in Kraków has been training teachers for more than 80 years and is the oldest pedagogical university in Poland. It is also the largest of them. It was formerly known as the Pedagogical University of Krakow and takes its name from the Commission of National Education.
More than 20,000 students study here across nearly 80 fields, taught by close to a thousand academic staff. Over its history it has produced more than 150,000 graduates. Education and teacher training remain at the heart of the university, though the range of programmes goes well beyond them. There is also a Doctoral School, where a PhD is awarded after a candidate defends a dissertation before a thesis committee and passes a doctoral examination.
International applicants go through a separate admissions route. For a degree programme you need a school-leaving certificate or diploma, authenticated or apostilled, that would let you enter higher education in the country that issued it. Most teaching is in Polish and the English-taught offer is very small, so the university suits students ready to study in Polish. Requirements depend on the programme and the intake year, and we check them for your case.

Common questions about admission
Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?
UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.
Do you guarantee admission?
We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you are not admitted or your visa is refused, a refund applies on the terms of the contract.
What are my actual chances of getting in?
We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.
Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?
You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
