Founded in 1348 by King Charles IV of Bohemia, Charles University is the oldest university in Central Europe. Today it is the largest Czech university with 17 faculties spread across Prague, PlzeΕ, and Hradec KrΓ‘lovΓ©, serving approximately 55,000 students.
