The Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales, known as INALCO, is a French grand établissement in Paris. It is devoted to the languages and cultures of the world, and the "oriental" in its name has long covered far more than the East.
In 2024 it taught 104 languages, from Central Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and Oceania. Students study a region's history, society and culture alongside the language itself, so graduates know the country as well as the words. If you are after a rare language or a region few universities take seriously, INALCO very likely teaches it.
Teaching is in French, so international students need a confident command of the language and proof of their level. The application route, documents and deadlines depend on the programme, the level of study and the intake year. We check them for your chosen programme and guide you through the application.

Common questions about admission
Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?
UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.
Do you guarantee admission?
We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you are not admitted or your visa is refused, a refund applies on the terms of the contract.
What are my actual chances of getting in?
We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.
Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?
You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
