INTI International University is a private university in Malaysia with its main campus in Putra Nilai. It is owned by INTI Education Group, which Hope Education Group of Hong Kong acquired in 2020. From 2008 to 2020 the group was part of the Laureate International Universities network. INTI was granted university status, and with it the right to award its own degrees, on 31 May 2010.
INTI began in 1986 as a small college in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, with just 37 students. It grew quickly, moving to bigger premises and opening campuses in Subang Jaya, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. In 1998 the main campus was built on 82 acres in Putra Nilai. It became a university college in 2006 and a full university in 2010.
Today INTI has four campuses in Malaysia. The university itself is in Nilai, while Subang, Penang and Sabah host the group's colleges. If you want an INTI International University degree, make sure your programme is taught at the Nilai campus. Entry requirements and the language of instruction depend on the programme and the intake year.
