Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) is one of Spain's premier public universities, founded in 1968. With approximately 30,000 students, it enrolls both Spanish citizens and international applicants. The institution maintains consistent recognition in national and international rankings, placing 226th globally in QS 2027 and 4th within Spain. UAM is particularly respected for its research output and ranks among Spain's leaders in international research network collaboration.

UAM's academic strengths span fundamental sciences, engineering, biomedical research, and emerging technologies. The university comprises eight faculties: Science, Economics and Business, Law, Philosophy and Letters, Medicine, Psychology, Education, and Engineering. It operates more than forty dedicated research laboratories and maintains partnerships with Spain's Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), the National Center for Biotechnology, and other leading research organizations. Teaching integrates rigorous academic training with contemporary relevance to societal challenges.

International students apply through the university's international recognition and early admission pathway. Most instruction occurs in Spanish, but UAM increasingly offers English-taught master's programs in deep learning for audio and video signal processing, advanced mathematics, British literary studies, theoretical physics, and Erasmus Mundus artificial intelligence specialization. The Cantoblanco campus houses accommodation including the Erasmo residence (765 places), and an International Welcome Office supports incoming students. Verify current Spanish language requirements (typically B1–B2 for undergraduate exchange, B2 for master's programs) and visa procedures directly with the university's international office before applying.

Common questions about admission

Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?

UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.

Do you guarantee admission?

We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you complete the whole process under your plan and are not admitted to any of the universities we applied to, the service agreement lets you choose: a refund minus costs already incurred (university fees, translations, courier) or a free re-application for the next intake.

What are my actual chances of getting in?

We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.

Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?

You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
