Complutense University of Madrid is one of Spain's leading public universities, founded in 1499. It forms part of the Moncloa Campus (Campus de Excelencia Internacional), a joint initiative with Madrid's Polytechnic University that generates roughly 10% of Spain's entire research output. Top national rankings across multiple disciplines and distinguished standing in international university classifications reflect its research excellence, graduate employability, and academic reputation.

The university offers over one hundred bachelor degree programmes, with particular strength in humanities, law, economics, biology, and medicine. A robust international research network (92.7 points in international research partnerships according to QS 2026) enables international students to collaborate with faculty working on cutting-edge European and global projects. The Faculty of Philology provides language programmes at all levels, including Russian, alongside a comprehensive range of courses in culture, literature, and history.

International students from outside the EU apply through a dedicated early admissions pathway. Applicants must demonstrate Spanish language proficiency at B2 level (or commit to achieving it before studies begin) and provide letters of recommendation. The university assists with housing through university residences, endorsed platforms, and Madrid region housing services. Non-EU students including those from Russia require a type D visa (for stays over three months); Complutense provides administrative support with documentation. Madrid itself offers a rich context as a global centre for science, culture, and politics, valuable for Spanish language and cultural immersion.

Need the language to apply?

Almost everywhere the language is checked before admission, not after. We prepare for the exams admissions offices actually ask for.

Common questions about admission

Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?

UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.

Do you guarantee admission?

We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you complete the whole process under your plan and are not admitted to any of the universities we applied to, the service agreement lets you choose: a refund minus costs already incurred (university fees, translations, courier) or a free re-application for the next intake.

What are my actual chances of getting in?

We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.

Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?

You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
