Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is a public research university in Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was established as the Agricultural University of Malaysia and retains a strong historical focus on agricultural sciences and related fields. Since the 1990s, however, its academic scope has expanded considerably, and UPM now comprises 15 faculties and 11 institutes.
