The University of Warsaw is Poland's largest and most prestigious institution, with over 40,000 students. Founded in 1816, it holds joint first place in Poland's Perspektywy 2026 national ranking (tied with Jagiellonian University) and ranks among Central Europe's finest. Across three campuses, the university operates 25 faculties and more than 30 additional units. International standing is confirmed by strong global rankings: 271st in QS World University Rankings 2026 and the highest Polish performance in Shanghai ARWU 2026.
The University of Warsaw excels across humanities, law, computer science, economics, and natural sciences. In THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026, it ranks first in Poland across nine disciplines, including arts and humanities (151β175 globally), psychology, computer science, physical sciences, and life sciences. Warsaw is Poland's sole representative in the list of non-US universities whose alumni have founded the most "unicorn" companies (billion-dollar startups) in the United States.
International students can study English-taught programmes at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levelsβcurrently 32 undergraduate and master's degrees plus four full-time PhD tracks. Non-EU/EFTA applicants must prove English proficiency at B2 level or above (IELTS 5.5+, Cambridge First, TOEFL iBT 72+, or equivalent). The university operates seven residence halls across Warsaw with approximately 2,710 total places; monthly rent ranges from about 520 to 1,100 PLN (approximately EUR 110β250) depending on dormitory and room type. International students may be eligible for scholarships through the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) or Visegrad Fund. Check the IRK registration system (irk.uw.edu.pl) and the official website (en.uw.edu.pl) for current deadlines, fees, specific programme requirements, and all documentation needed.

What the work covers for this countryCommon questions about admission
Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?
UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities β not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.
Do you guarantee admission?
We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection β matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy, and preparing documents carefully. Any refund or re-application arrangement is governed only by the current service agreement and the circumstances of the case.
What are my actual chances of getting in?
We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.
Can I apply on my own β why do I need you?
You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
