Seoul National University is South Korea's leading public research institution, founded in 1946 as the nation's first national university following independence. It belongs to the prestigious SKY group alongside Korea University and Yonsei University, and stands as the flagship of Korean higher education. Across its campuses, SNU comprises 16 colleges and 11 professional graduate schools, serving over 38,000 students including substantial international cohorts.

International undergraduate and graduate applicants are admitted through tracks based on citizenship and educational background. Proof of Korean language proficiency (TOPIK level 3 or higher) or English (TOEFL iBT 80+, IELTS 6.0+) is required. Admissions occur in autumn and spring; the application process involves online submission through the OIA portal, recommendation letters, and educational credentials.
