The University of Białystok is the largest university in north-eastern Poland. More than 13,000 students study 31 fields here, including doctoral and postgraduate programmes, taught by nearly 800 academics, almost 200 of them professors. It has nine faculties, one of them abroad in Vilnius.

Teaching spans the humanities, social and natural sciences and mathematics. Four faculties hold Poland's highest scientific category, "A". The university confers doctoral degrees in ten fields and postdoctoral degrees in law, economics, chemistry, biology, history and physics. It runs around 60 research projects a year and has taken part in the EU's 6th and 7th Framework Programmes and Horizon 2020.

Its story began on 15 July 1968, when a branch of the University of Warsaw opened in Białystok, and from 1 October 1972 it operated as a university with a full academic profile. It suits students who want a classic research university in a calm city close to the Lithuanian and Belarusian borders. Entry requirements and the language of instruction depend on the programme and the intake year.

Need the language to apply?

Almost everywhere the language is checked before admission, not after. We prepare for the exams admissions offices actually ask for.

Common questions about admission

Why apply through UNIPROFI specifically?

UNIPROFI is about a well-thought-out application and a strong outcome: we build an application path around your profile, goals and the requirements of your selected universities. You work with mentors who are current students or graduates of these schools, so you get real understanding of the system, campuses and opportunities — not theory. We take on complex cases (including minors and admission without an 11th-grade diploma), build an individual strategy for your profile and goals, and support you through every stage, from documents to your visa.

Do you guarantee admission?

We don't offer "guarantees for the sake of a sale," because no one can directly influence a university's decision. What we do is structure everything to minimize the risk of rejection: matching you to the right universities, building a strong application strategy and preparing documents carefully. If you complete the whole process under your plan and are not admitted to any of the universities we applied to, the service agreement lets you choose: a refund minus costs already incurred (university fees, translations, courier) or a free re-application for the next intake.

What are my actual chances of getting in?

We do not state a universal admission probability because the decision belongs to the university. We instead assess your profile, programme requirements and application strategy.

Can I apply on my own — why do I need you?

You can, but most students end up losing time, making mistakes, or settling for weaker universities. We save you months, help you start at a stronger level, and prevent the mistakes that can cost you admission.
