Işık University is a private university in Istanbul. It operates within the Işık Schools of the Feyziye Schools Foundation, one of Türkiye's long-established education organisations.
The foundation's history began on 14 December 1885, when the Feyz-i Sıbyan School opened in Salonica, today's Thessaloniki. Over almost a century and a half, that single school grew into a network of schools and then a university. For students, that means an institution backed by a long tradition in education.
